June 18: placed online order for a recliner using PayPal as the payment method. June 20: received e-mail indicating my chair had been ordered with their estimated time of the chair's arrival at their warehouse as June 24.

June 22: received e-mail indicating chair "coming to warehouse--will ship soon" June 25: I sent in an inquiry using their "ticket system" to find out what "soon" meant, since the chair was a gift for my father. June 26 reply from them: We are expecting your order into our warehouse Tuesday confirmed directly... Once they provide us with tracking we will email and update you with that. You would get a call ahead of time to set your date and time of delivery with you directly.

So you can be there to fully open and inspect the order. Once shipped it normally takes about 7-14 business days for standard shipping business days. June 28 (Tuesday): nothing received about shipment or status. June 29: I requested that the order be canceled since chair was not at warehouse, not had been shipped and no firm date could be given to me.

They informed me by their ticket system that I had to cancel by phone. July 1: I contacted them by phone and requested the order be canceled. My requested was acknowledged by "Sheyna" and she said I would receive an e-mail confirming the cancellation. July 2: no e-mail confirmation of the cancellation received so I sent in another "ticket" asking for it.

July 3: They ignored my cancellation request and began sending the status of the chair's arrival and preparation for delivery. My PayPal account was charged for $324.99. I contacted them again using their "ticket" system and indicated I would refuse delivery of the chair and that the order needed to be cancelled. July 6: Received e-mail notification (no call--no confirmation about my being present for delivery) that the chair had been picked up by the trucking/transport service, it is on its way, and tracking information would be sent to me shortly (no tracking information sent as of 7/7).

I have in the interim continued to send them "tickets" indicating my desire to cancel the order and they have been ignored. My guess is that they will charge me for refusal of delivery and shipper return of the chair if in fact they follow through with this debacle. Do not trust this company. Their customer service is non-existent.

I took screen shots of all of my dealings with their "ticket" system (I don't trust phone call conversations for obvious reasons) and I also submitted complaints to the BBB and the FTC.

I'll stick with ordering from well-known trustworthy companies for future internet purchases. Huge lessons learned.
